Challenges for lawyers
On May 19 the VI St.Petersburg International Legal Forum will host the Annual International Lawyers Conference of the Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers
The speakers on the topic “Legal services in today’s Russia” are Chairman of the Federation Council’s Committee for constitutional legislation and state-building Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the State Duma’s Committee for constitutional
legislation and state-building Vladimir Pligin and Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian FederationYuri Lubimov.
President of the German Federal Bar Ekkehart Schafer will speak about the role of the legal profession in the modern legal state.
The President of the Law Society of Hong Kong Steven Hung will light up the theme of “Opening the legal market for foreign lawyers: a bridge between East and West”, and the theme “Legal practice models fit for the future” will be presented by the President of the Law Society of England and Wales, Jonathan Smithers.
Treasurer of the French National Bar Council François-Antoine Cros will make a report “Uniform standards of legal profession: EU and French experience”, and the Past President of the American Bar Association, William Hubbard chose for his speech the following topic: “Establishing Justice: Guiding, Uniting, and Strengthening the Bar to Advance Priorities for the Profession”.
After discussion Mr Pilipenko will make some closing remarks.
